Commission a Painting
The Commissioning Process
Step 1: Consultation
We discuss the commissioning process via email or phone conversation. Size, medium, and subject matter* will be addressed.
*Each original painting is unique and, while it is impossible to recreate a painting, I'll be happy to paint something similar if you love an existing piece.
Step 2: Finalize Details
Decisions about size, medium, and subject matter are finalized in written email and the Artist-Client Contract.
Step 3: Payment
An invoice is sent to your email for half of the total payment. Once this deposit is received, the commission is started. A sketch of the final painting is first emailed to the client for approval before I begin the painting. Please allow for at least 2 months for the commission to be ready. If there is a rush deadline, this should be noted at the time of the consultation.
Step 4: Delivery
After the painting is complete, delivery (if in Metro Atlanta) or shipment of your art is made. Final payment is invoiced and required at the time of delivery.
